Hello,
We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, Harness Racing BC and the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch have committed to work together to bring positive change to the working environment at the Fraser Downs racetrack.
We have set up a committee with membership from the three organizations. This committee will develop guidelines which set the expectations of conduct and behaviour of everyone working at the track. This includes reinforcing that unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated, as well as outlining the consequences of inappropriate conduct, based on the respective mandates and authorities of each organization.
Our goal is to promote a positive cultural change at Fraser Downs in the backstretch, based on dignity and respect.
We will provide updates on our progress to the racing community. We also welcome feedback or suggestions as we move forward. The members for each group are:
• GCGC – Nichelle Milner, Michael Worth
• GPEB – Bill McNeill, Tim Storms, Garry Woods
• HRBC – Kelly MacMillan, Nigel Holmes
