Michael Worth, General Manager of Elements Casino has asked HRBC to communicate the following message to our horsemen community.

On Friday July 23rd, we will be moving to passive screening for our team and the backstretch community. The Web form will no longer be needed to enter. Once again, we appreciate everyone working with us over the last 17 months and supporting the protocols put in place to keep us all safe. We are looking forward to easing more restriction when the time is right. As always everyone entering the backstretch will still need to compile with all policies and procedures in place.

To all HRBC members:

In order to anticipate the steps needed for racing to resume, the fundamental element needed is funding. Kelly MacMillan, President of HRBC would like the membership to know that discussion with Government regarding funding to support our racing industry continues on a daily basis. As soon as Harness Racing BC receives confirmation on the applied funding, an announced Special General Meeting will be held to discuss the details pertaining to the funds and to discuss the next steps of planning the race meet.
