HRBC is currently designing an additional bonus for all BC Bred Yearlings of 2021 to be awarded when they race as a 2 year old in 2022 and possibly another 2 years thereafter, depending on sufficient funding. This added bonus will be a “top up” on the current BC Bred Owners Bonus. Further details can be found in the sale catalogue.

Please be advised that due to recent concerns with track conditions we will be bringing John Vernon back to do a further grading of the track this Friday. Therefore, the main track will be closed on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Moving forward it is the consensus that Friday would be a better day for the main track to be closed, versus Sunday currently. This decision is being based on our current Wednesday and Thursday race meet schedule. After two days of racing, it is believed that a fewer number of horses would be training, and the inner track will still be available for jogging. On Friday’s the track maintenance crew is working so they can allocate time to work on the track. Also, to have the grader operator to work on a Sunday would be a lot more expensive, if and so he would work on Sunday’s. 

HRBC is pleased to Co-Sponsor along with Standardbred Canada the Lady Dogwood stake for aged mares 4 years old and older. The stake is scheduled to be raced Thursday, December 2, 2021. The attached nomination form has all further information.
