Just a reminder from GPEB, members are not allowed to participate, (i.e. work on site, race a horse, etc.) until their GPEB Licence and registration has been approved. This applies to those who are applying for the first time and renewals. Please consider that there is a timeline to review and approve applications of 2 to 5 days after applications are submitted to the GPEB office. Current operating hours for the GPEB is Tuesday to Saturdaymornings as well as afternoon/evening on race days.

This is official notice of our upcoming SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING for Harness Racing BC Society to be held on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021  at 6:00, via Video Conference. Please note that only Active Members in good standing and Honourary Members can vote at this Special General Meeting.

Please be advised that due to the continuing difficulty of hiring people the security personnel at the gate are contracted employees for the night shift. The contracted employees perform a limited role and therefore cannot let people into the barn area between the hours of 9:00PM and 5:00AM. If it is necessary to access the backstretch the guard can call the security manager on the front side and access should be granted if required. The security personnel are aware of this procedure. If you are planning to ship horses into the backstretch within this restricted time frame, please advise ahead of time so entry arrangements can be made.
